Licensing & compliance
How we operate, stated plainly.
Registered Massachusetts business
Next Chapter Home Agency LLC is organized as a limited liability company in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and operates under that entity for all client agreements and employment.
MA entity / registration ID: provided in writing on request
Insured & bonded
The agency carries commercial liability coverage and bonding for staff working in client homes. Certificates of insurance are available to families, landlords, and referring programs on request.
Certificate of insurance: provided in writing on request
CORI-compliant hiring & background checks
Caregiver hiring follows Massachusetts CORI practice, with identity and work-eligibility verification, reference checks, and criminal background screening before a caregiver is placed in a home. Screening is re-run in line with our internal policy.
Non-medical scope, documented
Every client has a written non-medical service agreement and care plan stating exactly what caregivers will and will not do. Caregivers are oriented to that plan and supervised by a care coordinator.
Privacy-aware record keeping
Client records, visit notes, and schedules live in an access-controlled system where staff see only the records their role requires. We handle personal and health-adjacent information with HIPAA-aware practices and share it only with people the client or their authorized representative has approved.
Worker protections & payroll
Caregivers are engaged and paid in line with Massachusetts wage, hour, and workers' compensation requirements. Families are never asked to pay caregivers directly or off the books.
A note on what this page is
This page is maintained by Next Chapter Home Agency LLC to answer common questions about how the agency operates. It describes our own practices and is not an independent audit, accreditation, or certification. Because Massachusetts does not license non-medical home care the way it licenses clinical providers, we describe our registration, insurance, and hiring practices rather than claiming a clinical licence we do not hold.
Specific documentation — certificate of insurance, entity registration, W-9, or our written service agreement — is provided to families and referring programs on request at nextchapter10628@gmail.com.
Non-medical home care only
Next Chapter Home Agency provides non-medical home care only — companionship, personal care, homemaking, medication reminders, transportation, and respite. We do not provide nursing, medical diagnoses, wound care, injections, or medication administration. For clinical or medical needs, please contact a physician, visiting nurse agency, or call 911 in an emergency.
