Our story
Why this agency exists.
Next Chapter was founded by a Massachusetts human-services professional with a background in housing coordination and community-based care. Years spent working alongside families, case managers, and housing programs made one gap obvious: the people who need steady, everyday support are often the ones who fall between programs — too independent for a facility, too stretched to manage alone.
The agency was created to fill that space honestly. Not clinical care dressed up as companionship, and not a staffing pool that sends whoever is free. Just reliable non-medical support — a caregiver who knows the household, a coordinator who knows the family, and a plan everyone actually agreed to.
The name comes from how we think about the work. A new diagnosis, a move into shared housing, a spouse who can no longer manage alone — these are chapters, not endings. Our job is to make the next one safe, dignified, and as much like home as possible.

We are a non-medical agency and we say so plainly. When a need is clinical, we say that too and help the family find the right provider.
